William (Billy) Parker

PARKER It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of WILLIAM (BILLY) PARKER, who passed away on October 11th aged 75years in LRI. Billy was born in Swaledale where he lived until he was 23 before moving to Howgill, Sedbergh, to farm at Thwaite in the beautiful Lune Valley. Loving husband to Dorothy, dad to Joyce, Valerie, Julia and Colin, grandad to Katherine, Hannah, Thomas, Isabelle, Evie and Olive and father-in-law to Rob, Martin, Hannah and Gerry he will be greatly missed by all his family and many, many friends. We are grateful that he was actively working until he was very recently admitted to hospital where he died peacefully. The service will take place at Howgill Church on Saturday 18th October at 1pm. Family flowers only donations may be made to the Stroke Association and Howgill Church c/o J J Martin funeral directors, Long Lane, Sedbergh tel 015396 25334.
