STONES Joy's life ended early on Saturday morning, 23rd of May, at Lan-caster Royal Infirmary. She had been ill since February. She bore her illness with the strength and dignity which she showed all her life. There were many tears at the end. but many smiles and a great deal of happiness also. She was adored by her nieces and nephews Jean, Rob, Dave, Liz and Mike and greatly loved by David. Hers truly was a life well lived. No words can express her loss. Thanks to all the people from Carewatch, STINT, the NHS nurses and Dr Gatherall for all they did for Joy. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday 2nd June at Lancaster & More-cambe Crematorium at 11.45 a.m. Enquiries and anyone needing transport, please contact Hayes & Parkinson Ltd, Captain French Lane, Kendal.
