LEWIS Dennis Eldon, died peacefully on Monday 10th October at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, aged 84 years. A much loved husband of Maureen, and father of Susan. He will be greatly missed by all his family. Formally head of maintenance of Charlotte Mason College. Dennis was a generous and active man, enjoying nothing more than exploring the Fells, time on his bike, and helping others. A Thanks Giving Service will be held in St Marys Church Ambleside at 11:30am on Tuesday 1st November. At Dennis' express wish, dress code will be cheerful/colourful. Refreshments afterwards at the Salutation Hotel, Ambleside. No flowers please, instead donations at the service to Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue.
