WHATMOUGH MARGARET (NEE. BINNS) Of Staveley House, Dalton-in-Furness. Formerly of Little Pickthall Ground, Broughton-in-Furness died peacefully on Friday 30th December 2016, aged 93 years. Margaret was born in Sunderland, brought up in Tunbridge Wells and attended Ackworth School, before returning to the North East when she married her late husband Charles. When Charles retired in 1969 they left Sutton Coldfield to live in Broughton Mills. She leaves her daughter Anne, son-in-law Bill, grandson George and his wife Caoimhe, and nieces Susan, Joan and Elizabeth, and her help and friend Margery. Margaret was known as a talented potter and colourful character who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Friends please meet at Thorncliffe Crematorium for her service at 1pm on Monday 16th January, 2017. Family flowers only.
