TONY TOOTILL 27th August 2017 Unique, mercurial, adventurous, loving fiance and family man from Bolton. Tony died peacefully in Devon with Theresa at his side.

I miss my Best Friend,
my Soulmate,
my Love....
Our darling Tony - unique, mercurial, adventurous & loving fiance, family man and good friend to many - your passing has left a void in all of our lives. Bolton born, in his youth, Tony and his friends enjoyed many carefree adventures, exploring the Lake District on their motorbikes and camping under the stars. Whilst still in his teens, he emigrated to Canada, returning to the UK in his early twenties, where he married and his sons Scott and Stephen were born. Later, he retired to Hampsfield House near Windermere, with his 2nd wife Patricia, spending many happy years there before being widowed and moving to Devon. Following a stroke in 2015, Tony’s health started its inexorable decline and in August this year, he passed away at the Sidmouth Nursing Home in Devon. Throughout this period, he was lovingly cared for by his partner Theresa, who was at his side during his passing, which was peaceful and free from pain. Tony will be sorely missed by those he left behind, not just by his Sidmouth family, but also his first wife Norma and their grandchildren, his daughter Noel and granddaughter in Canada, the Tootill family and all the many friends, neighbours and people whose lives he touched. We will never forget you.

Or do as I would want, smile, open your eyes, love and go on."
Tony’s ashes have been laid to rest in St Anne’s churchyard in Turton, near his childhood home.
