Band wanted to support BSP in Barrow

BRITISH Sea Power have announced they will play Barrow on November 19, and they're looking for a local support band. The Lake District's most eccentric musical export will be getting the opening night of The Canteen Media and Arts Centre under way with a Club Sea Power night. The Canteen wants to hear from bands "not just shoe-gazing indie types" but even brass bands to support BSP. Interested musicians should send a CD of their stuff to: Sam Hunt, Northern Riviera Productions, The Canteen Media and Arts Centre, Michaelson Road, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14-1AD. As well as music, the infamous Club Sea Power night will also see films, talks and poetry readings. To book tickets for the Barrow date log on to www.seetickets.com.
