GSK boss David Lynch was the keynote speaker during the annual CBI Cumbria dinner at Low Wood Bay, Windermere, on Thursday.
Mr Lynch, who is head of engineering for GSK, outlined how the company was investing in long-term high value employment, with work expected to start on a new £350m pharmaceutical plant in Ulverston next year.
