AN HOTEL receptionist from Grasmere has been rewarded for her skill and dedication at the Macdonald Hotels and Resorts high achievers awards.
Martha Wood, of The Swan Hotel, scooped the receptionist of the year title for her commitment to excellent customer service and creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for guests – even though she has only worked for the hotel for six months.
“I was shortlisted against 24 other receptionists for the award and was overjoyed to have won,” said Martha.
“I aim to make a guest’s stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible from the very outset.”
General manager Jason Moore said: “I’m incredibly proud of Martha for her award. It’s great to have her hard work acknowledged as she really does provide the best service for our guests.”
The Macdonald Hotels and Resorts awards were held in Birmingham.
