MUCH-loved attraction The World of Beatrix Potter is to close its doors for a major transformation.
Once the doors close on Monday, January 5, a team of talented craftspeople will move in and take away much of the original scenery, first built in 1990 and 1991.
Brand new, hand-crafted material - perfectly made to measure - will be installed in the countryside tableaux, complete with foxgloves, oak tree leaves and ferns from the same artistic team who supply foliage to Disney for their attractions.
Beatrix Potter's classic characters such as Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Squirrel Nutkin and Jeremy Fisher will be given a makeover, and there will also be some scene changes for visitors to see when the attraction reopens in time for February half-term.
