THE finalists of the coveted business awards for women across the North West, the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVA’s) 2015, have been revealed - and six businesses from Cumbria have reached the finals across the 16 categories.

Launched back in 2011, the EVA’s provide women across the North West with the opportunity to be recognised for their achievements in business.

Cumbrian finalists are:

• Alison Tordoff from Fidget Design, Windermere - Creative Business of the Year

• Sally Fielding from Sally's Cottages, Keswick - Hospitality Industry Business of the Year

• Gillian Roberts from Dale Lodge Hotel &Tweedies Bar, Grasmere - Hospitality Industry Business of the Year

• Lisa Jackson from Acorn Marketing Ltd, Penrith - Sole Trader of the Year

• Katie Robinson from Made in Flowers, Kendal -Young Entrepreneur of the Year

• Lee Dancy from Barking Mad, Kirkby Lonsdale - Business Woman of the Year

Each finalist will now face a panel of judges before the winners will be announced on September 25 in a black tie ceremony at Blackpool Winter Gardens.

The EVA’s judging process is a mix of public nomination with a stringent round of judging and an interview with a panel of highly regarded business professionals.
