JLL's Hotels & Hospitality team has been instructed to sell the Grade II listed country house hotel, which was originally built in 1895.

Located on the shores of Windermere, with extensive lake frontage and spectacular panoramic views, the hotel has been the proud winner of the title of 'best view in Britain'.

The hotel is set in six acres of attractive landscaped grounds, offers 29-en-suite guest bedrooms throughout the estate in addition to a 24-bedroom staff accommodation block which was purpose-built in April this year.

The site also includes the Lake House, which provides eight guest bedrooms, a unique boat house and two private jetties.

There is also a 15-bedroom former staff house which could be converted to provide further guest accommodation, a spa or a separate function facility subject to obtaining the relevant planning consents.

With Windermere considered to be the most popular attractions in the Lake District, it is expected by JLL that the property will attract a number of potential buyers looking to capitalise on the tourist hotspot.

"The Langdale Chase is undoubtedly one of the finest locations in the Lake District and we anticipate strong interest in this most beautiful and popular parts of the UK."
