VINCE Cable will be visiting Kendal to speak to business leaders in South Lakeland.
The Liberal Democrat shadow chancellor will be joined by Tim Farron, MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale, to deliver their vision for the future of local business and policies for the wider economy.
During the financial crash last year Mr Cable was judged by many critics as being the MP with the soundest understanding of the UK’s economy.
Mr Farron said: “It is incredibly important to both Vince and I that we work closely with the business community to tackle the real issues that are affecting them, and this event will enable people to come directly to us with their concerns and feedback.”
The event, at 3.30pm on Saturday, November 28, is to be held at Meantime IT, at the Riverside Business Park.
Fenner Pearson, managing director of Meantime, said: “As an SME with both local and national clients, we are all too aware of the issues every business faces.
“This is a rare opportunity to be able to discuss these issues directly with the people who can actually make a difference.”
Tickets are £50 including drinks and canapes. To register a place email register@meantime.co.uk or call 01539 723403.
