New bistro opens in Milnthorpe

FOOD lovers have launched a modern bistro in Milnthorpe.
Manager Kate Cook, Graeme Shuttleworth and their families have teamed up to create No17 Restaurant.
The group opened their Park Road premises after a six-month refurbishment project.
They gutted the building and took it back to the original open plan layout, last seen when it was used by the Co-operative company.
Stained wooden flooring and light interiors has given the venue a contemporary style to go with its debut menu.
Mrs Cook said: “Opening now is a big risk but our designs for the restaurant have turned out well and I have a lot of faith in Graeme’s food. We want to make a destination point for food-lovers in Milnthorpe. I hope this is going to be a new reason for people to come here.
