3,000 start apprenticeships in Cumbria

MORE than 3,000 people in Cumbria started apprenticeships between August and January, figures show. Croppers of Burneside, Gilkes at Kendal and Centrica’s proposed new biomass power station at Barrow are among the local businesses that have taken young people on.
