WINDERMERE lake got its annual spring clean thanks to teams of junior litter busters.
Pupils from Cartmel Priory School, through Cumbria's John Muir environmental awards scheme, headed the challenge to trawl the shores of England's longest lake for rubbish.
Lake District National Park Authority ranger Steve Tatlock said it was encouraging to get an enthusiastic and committed band of young people on board.
