KENDAL'S councillors will be taking to the streets armed with bin bags and rubber gloves to show their support for the Blitz Lakeland's Litter campaign.
Thirteen Kendal town councillors will be aiming to purge the streets of unsightly litter tomorrow (Saturday) at 10am, from the town hall, as part of a show of strength aimed at both tidying the town and increasing people's awareness of their responsibilities.
Town clerk Hugh McClorry said the litter pick was designed both to support The Westmorland Gazette's campaign and impress the judges of this year's Britain in Bloom competition.
