Welcome to this special guide, which celebrates all that's wonderful about the Lake District, the Bay area, Lune Valley and western Dales.
The aim of the guide is twofold – to remind local people about all the fascinating attractions that can be found on their own doorstep and to provide visitors with an insight into the richness of the area's natural, historical and cultural heritage.
We realise this is not a definitive list of great things. However, we believe the guide provides a very sound basis on which a more fulsome database of information can be built for potential future issues.
