Pods, which are set to revolutionise the way people camp, will arrive on Eskdale Camping and Caravanning Club Site in Cumbria in time for the new camping season.
The ten, tent like wooden structures, will be in place for when the site opens on 1 March. Insulated with sheep's wool they will be warm and cosy and sleep up to four persons. Camping equipment will be required to complete the experience.
For more traditional tent campers the site has 70 pitches alongside a self catering camping barn which is available throughout the year and sleeps up to eight. Locally sourced produce such as meat, bread and beers are available from the site shop.
Martyn Merckel, Site Franchisee said: "The pods will provide quality and affordable accommodation for anyone who wants to experience camping in a slightly more unusual way. We've already been inundated with interest in this new style of accommodation and look forward to increasing tourism to this part of Cumbria."
Pods cost £35 per night.
