AN INTRIGUING exhibition of work by emerging artist Gillian Gilbert is on show at Kendal’s Brewery.
Running in the Kendal arts centre’s Sugar Store Gallery until February 17, Gillian’s photographic show features two visually documented subjects - Walter and Ambrosia.
Both the projects were photographed using an old film camera, shooting only in natural daylight and reflecting life at a slower pace.
Honey bees and the people who look after them are explored by Carlisle-based Gillian in a broad sense through Ambrosia and at a more intimate level within the Walter series.
