LIMITED Palette is the latest exhibition from one of the region's most innovative and prolific group of artists - Kendal Arts Community.

Entries were invited in black and white, monochrome or similar restricted use of colour to feature in the highly imaginative show, which the artists’ co-operative is staging for three months at Ruskins Cafe Bar, in Smokehouse Yard, off Kendal's Highgate.

KAC coordinator, Zoe Baker, said: “We wanted to challenge our members to create a piece of art using a limited palette of colours. As usual they have come up trumps.”

It is almost four years since a small group of Kendal based artists, artisans, craftsmen and writers met at Ruskin’s bar to create KAC, a Kendal based arts community which is open to all.

KAC aims to incorporate as many people as it can across a wide range of disciplines and abilities to encourage artistic development in the local area; it now has more than 250 members.
