DANIEL Cooper has the creative potential to be one of the great landscapes painters of his generation. The way he captures the dramatic and constantly shifting moods of the fells, lakes and skies is quite staggering with a distinctive style that alludes to his own heroes such as JMW Turner and John Ruskin. Imagination and Reality is the Lakeland-based artist's major new exhibition, running at Coniston's Ruskin Museum until August 14, featuring more than 30 brilliantly atmospheric works.
