ARTISTS from far and wide are being invited to take part in Rock Solid? Expo, an exhibition and series of events pencilled in for spring 2012 at Kendal Museum.
Running from March 24 until May 19, the project is being coordinated by Marianne Birkby.
Guest artist is one of the UK’s leading mountain painters, Julian Cooper, an artist with a towering reputation for capturing on canvas some of the most vertically challenging vistas.
Marianne said it looked like being an exciting and interesting project and she was delighted that Julian had agreed to be involved.
Rock Solid and its events will explore the diversity of Lakeland's geological heritage and the plan to use that geology to try to contain man's most long lasting legacy - nuclear waste.
For further information and an application form email rocksolid@mariannebirkby.plus.com, telephone 015395-63671 or write to Rock Solid? 8 Chelsea Court, Milnthorpe, Cumbria LA7 7DJ.
