CUMBRIA’S biggest visual arts event is gearing up for a bumper show.
Building on last year’s inaugural event, which saw 8,000 studio visits generate £57,000 of sales, C-Art 2012 brings together more of the county’s best visual and applied arts in another huge two-week banquet of creativity.
Running from September 1-16, 134 galleries, artists and designers will take part in the huge Eden Arts project, flinging their artistic doors open alongside a programme of special events and workshops.
Venues featured include Sedbergh’s Farfield Mill; Kendal’s Outlet Gallery; Low Sizergh Barn, Sizergh; Upfront Gallery, near Hutton-in-the-Forest; Gallery at Rheged, Penrith, and Carlisle’s Tullie House. The C-Art catalogue is available at www.c-art.org.uk
