LAKE District-based publisher Ellen Bowness has turned her attention to the neighbouring Yorkshire Dales for this landscape photography guide.
Among the 56 photogenic locations are iconic spots such as Hardraw Force near Hawes, Malham Cove, Ribblehead Viaduct and Kilnsey Crag and . But there are also lesser known places that are no less stunning, such as Twistleton Scar near Ingleton, Crackpot Hall in Swaledale and West Burton Falls in Wensleydale.
Most of the locations fall within the Dales national park, although there are a good number in neighbouring Nidderdale.
Each location is accompanied by detailed directions, including a map, and where to park.
As this is a photographic guide it has advice on the best time of year and day to visit and includes a useful table of sunrise and sunset times.
