IN KAREN Lloyd's entrancing The Gathering Tide book, the Kendal-based writer tells the compelling stories of the places, people, wildlife and history of Morecambe Bay. Embarking on a series of walks at different locations all around the bay, she discovers ancient roadways buried underneath the peat, caves where wolves and lynx once fed, and even islands that don’t exist. Karen hosts a 'meet the author' event on Saturday, February 20 (2pm-4pm) at Sizergh Barn.
