THE next Poem and a Pint gig is held on Saturday, July 1, at Greenodd Village Hall, and stars Forward Prize winning poet Emily Berry, who landed the prestigious prize in 2013 for Best First Collection. She performs at Saturday's Poem and a Pint having just been shortlisted for FP's Best Collection, with her latest work Stranger, Baby. Alongside in demand Emily, there will be music from South Cumbria’s inimitable a cappella Braddyll Friends and the open mic session. MC for the night - which starts at 7.30pm - will be Caroline Gilfillan. For further information visit www.apoemandapint.co.uk.
