Westmorland Gazette's Beautiful Lakes book is a best seller

A STUNNING book of photographs snapped by readers of The Westmorland Gazette is proving a top five bestseller at one of Cumbria’s largest book stores.

The Beautiful Lakes, featuring 350 evocative pictures, is proving a winner with customers of Waterstones in Kendal’s Westmorland Shopping Centre.

Branch manager Caroline Reece said: “We are very pleased with how the book is selling.

"It’s very exciting. The Beautiful Lakes is up there with Hunter Davies’s Wainwright Letters in our top five list.

“I’m not surprised because it is a really lovely book.

"One of the great things is that it’s a book that really has been made by Gazette readers.”

The Beautiful Lakes is available at Waterstones and other good bookshops for £14.95.
