THE second Dorothy Wordsworth Festival of Women’s Poetry takes place at Grasmere, from April 20-22, as part of the Wordsworth Trust’s contemporary poetry programme.
Organised by the trust, in association with Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, the festival includes live readings from prize-winning poets, discussions and lectures. Trust poet-in-residence Carola Luther will read her own work and run a workshop on Poems for Extraordinary Times. The festival culminates on the Sunday with a reading by three women Laureates at Grasmere’s St Oswald’s Church - Gillian Clarke, National Poet of Wales and Liz Lochhead, Scotland’s ‘Makar will read their own work with Carol Ann.
