THE next act to play at Kendal Library as part of the ‘Get it Loud in Libraries’ scheme has been announced.
The Lone Bellow hail from Brooklyn and play a country folk roots reminiscent of Mumford And Sons.
Frontman Zach Williams’ songwriting career began with a journal he started after his wife suffered temporary paralysis in a horseriding accident.
The group sprang into being when he met guitarist and old friend Brian Elmquist working at a Brooklyn diner in 2010.
Williams, then performing as a solo artist, needed a place to try some new material and thought the diner was as good as any rehearsal space.
He asked fellow singer Kanene Pipkin to join them and from that first jam the trio became The Lone Bellow.
The group released its self-titled debut in January 2013.
The Lone Bellow play at Kendal Library tomorrow night.
