LOCAL folk singer Brendan Lewes is holding a second fund raising gig at the Josefina Gallery in Kendal on Sunday.

“Last time through CD sales and donations we managed to raise a total of £170,” Brendan explained.

“We put on a show with some great local musicians and at the same time raised £85 each for two great local charities”.

The free event will have a different lineup of acoustic musicians and Brendan is hoping to raise a similar amount through selling his EP ‘Weather The Storm’ as well as having a hat for donations.

Brendan said: “As the artists playing on the day are based in or around Kendal and the surrounding area the gig can act as a great platform for local musicians, as well as an additional source of revenue for two local causes that invest in our area.”

The Acoustic Session is taking place between 1pm and 5pm, at the Josefina Gallery along the River Kent in Kendal.

All proceeds are being split between the Foodbank and the Josefina de Vasconcellos Arts Care Trust.
