FLUTE and piano take centre stage in the next Kendal Midday Concert Club recital.

On Wednesday, December 10 (1pm), flautist Thomas Hancox and pianist Craig Greene team up at Kendal Town Hall in a programme of works, including JS Bach's Sonata for Flute and Continuo in E major, Poulenc's Sonata for Flute and Piano and Tango Fantasia by Gade.

Thomas has worked as guest principal flautist with a large number of orchestras and ensembles both in the UK and Europe, while his solo and chamber work has led to collaborations with a wide variety of distinguished artists and ensembles.

Craig - in demand as a concert soloist - became principal conductor of the Oxford University Philharmonia in 2008 and has performed a number of varied programmes with the orchestra. Recently, he joined the music faculty at St Paul’s School, London.

Snack lunches are available from 11.50am.
