A NEW music festival is coming to Cockermouth this summer, on the former CockRock site at Wellington Farm.
Northbound Festival is part of a three year programme to bring new festivals to Allerdale.
The scheme will bring another music festival in Workington in 2015 and “an internationally significant sporting event” to the programme in 2016.
The weekend will showcase both nationally acclaimed and emerging artists and the festival as a whole will also focus on talent from Cumbria and surrounding areas.
Organisers say the event will have a very strong family feel with an activity packed kids area with everything from its own disco to crafts and workshops.
Northbound Festival will take place from August 7-9.
