FOLK-rock band This Is The Kit, who count BBC 6 Music’s Guy Garvey and Cerys Matthews among their fans, are playing at More Music’s Hothouse in Morecambe on March 7.

Support comes from Rozi Plain, who also plays as part of the This Is The Kit live band.

This Is The Kit is the much beloved musical project of Kate Stables, born in England and based in Paris. Kate sings, plays guitar, banjo, trumpet and percussion, and is backed by a carefully chosen cast of friends to bring her songs to life.

Aaron Dessner (guitarist with The National) is working with the band to produce their next album. This Is The Kit was recently selected by Sharon Van Etten as her ‘Favourite New Artist’ in an interview with Pitchfork.

Rozi Plain’s unique, ethereal songwriting style has led to support slots with Devendra Banhart, Beach House, James Yorkston, KT Tunstall and Francois & The Atlas Mountains amongst others. Rozi has played live sessions for Lauren Laverne, Marc Riley, Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq.
