FORMER members of the Tyneside group Lindisfarne will perform in the brilliantly entertaining two-man show The Lindisfarne Story at Theatre by the Lake this month.

For one night only, the audience will be taken on a captivating journey through Lindisfarne’s long and lively history, from their immergence in the 70s, to their International success in the acoustic rock music arena.

Through acoustic performances of the band's classic songs, exclusive behind-the-scenes anecdotes and compelling archive video footage, former lead singer Billy Mitchell and founding drummer Ray Laidlaw collaborate to tell the fascinating story of Lindisfarne.

After exploding onto the music scene in 1970, Lindisfarne were propelled to the forefront of acoustic rock music. Their vivacious lyricism cut through the prevailing pop music of the era to achieve international success.

Best known for their albums Nicely Out of Tune and Fog On The Tyne, Lindisfarne remains one of the most popular bands to come out of Tynside.
