FOLK duo Belshazzar’s Feast will be visiting Cockermouth and Settle on their December ‘Stocking Fillers’ tour.

Sharing their 20th anniversary as a duo, Belshazzar’s Feast comprises Paul Hutchinson on accordion) and Paul Sartin on oboe, violin and vocals.

Belshazzar’s Feast start with traditional folk music, add a touch of classical and jazz, throw in a bit of pop and music hall, and top it off some unforgettable banter for a unique live experience.

They received a coveted nomination for the Best Duo Award at the 2010 BBC Folk Awards.

As a singer, oboist, violinist, composer and arranger Paul Sartin performs and records extensively with Belshazzar’s Feast, Faustus, and five times winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Best Live Act Bellowhead, whose songbook he edited for Faber Music.

Paul Hutchinson is well known from his work with Hoover the Dog, Karen Tweed, The Playford Liberation Front and more recently with Pagoda Project who have just released their debut album, Clarion.

Belshazzar’s Feast play at The Kirkgate Centre, Cockermouth on December 17, and Victoria Hall, Settle, on December 18.
