Two of the British folk scene’s most accomplished performers, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman will be playing at More Music’s Hothouse in Morecambe on Saturday 9 April.
The Roberts-Lakeman name has become synonymous with "quality" during their musical careers, which started when they were signed to a major label as teenagers.
Now after nearly two decades in music, Kathryn's sublime vocals merge seamlessly with Sean's deft and inventive live guitar work on stage - and his award-winning sonic skills in the studio.
In addition to his chart-topping hit records for brother Seth Lakeman, Sean has produced albums or tracks with The Levellers, Billy Bragg, Frank Turner, Imelda May and Bellowhead, as well as a string of other folk/acoustic acts.
Support comes from Lancaster bands The Low Countries and The Lighthouse Keepers. The Low Countries, until 2013 an indie folk duo, are now resurrected as a five piece band.
Formed by Nigel Parrington and Els D’hooge, they have released eight albums and have a new full band EP due to be released later this year.
The Lighthouse Keepers are an exciting new musical project from Bess Shooter.
Tickets cost £10 (£7 concessions) in advance, booking information can be found at www.moremusic.org.uk/roberts-lakeman.
