KENDAL will play host to a beer and music festival this weekend, with local bands and brews being showcased.

Events on Friday April 8 and Saturday 9 will take place at the Function House at Castle Green Hotel, featuring local favourites The Seals and The Mustard Cutters respectively.

Beers from Bowness Bay Brewery, which also runs the Factory Tap in Kendal will be available, alongside other examples of Cumbria's thriving brewing industry.

The Seals are a professional cover band based in Cumbria with over 10 years live experience. The band perform a selection of alternative classic songs picked from 6 decades of great music.

The Mustard Cutters have over ten years' worth of experience playing at functions and parties, and boast a setlist they guarantee will have everybody dancing.

Both nights will run from 4-11pm. Visitors are able to dine in Alexander's at the Castle Green Hotel between 4.30 - 6pm on Friday or Saturday night and receive 20% off food. To claim the offer they must mention the 'Beer Festival deal'.

The events are sponsored by Westmorland shopping centre.
