After a hugely successful event last year, the Cockermouth LIVE! in gearing up to return for 2016.

The Kirkgate Centre is set to host an exciting selection of Cockermouth Live events this June.

Cockermouth Live events at the Kirkgate kick off on Wednesday 22nd June, with Flimby Male Voice Choir taking to the stage. Led by Musical Director David Wilson, the Choir has been a key part of Cumbria’s choral scene for more than a century.

On Thursday June 23 Stu Brown provides a rare opportunity to delve into the world of sonic slapstick with live cartoon music, including Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry scores. The Stu Brown septet boasts some of Scotland’s top jazz musicians.

James Rebanks talks about his life and writing at the Kirkgate on the Friday. The Shepherd’s Life became a surprise best-seller when published last year and was recently turned into a highly successful play at Theatre by the Lake.
