Tickets are now available for a music festival dedicated to opera, traditional and classical music set to take place in Grasmere.
In January 2017, Grasmere and The Wordsworth Hotel will host a variety of musicians as part of The Northumbrian Music Festival: On Tour (NMF).
Performances will include The Three English Tenors and Organist Luke Fitzgerald in Historic Grasmere Church. Concerts include an exciting programme of music, together with a gourmet three course meal, and will be held at Grasmere’s St Oswald’s Church and at the next door The Wordsworth Hotel.
Running over two days from the 13th January, the (NMF) will see popular professionals The Three English Tenors singing in the sublime setting of St Oswald’s Church. Other concerts will feature appropriately, ‘The Glory of Sacred Music’ and organist Luke Fitzgerald in classics from the repertoire.
Commenting on the Festival Organiser, Barbara Huddart, said: "We are delighted that the Northumbrian Music Festival is heading to the Lake District in Cumbria as part of its tour. This is wonderful opportunity for people to enjoy some post-Christmas relaxation, amazing music, along with wonderful food in the beautiful setting of Grasmere village."
