THE Dante String Quartet plays Keswick's Theatre by the Lake on Sunday, October 16 (7.30pm) having last played there in a Keswick Music Society concert in 2011. Since, the superb foursome has become one of the world’s most accomplished string quartets. Dante member Krysia Osostowicz’s priceless old violin had a narrow escape recently when it was snatched in the street. However, following a desperate search the violin was discovered soon afterwards for sale in a second hand shop. Box office 017687-74411.
