POLICE Dog Hogan make their first visit to the Old Firestation in Carlisle on Saturday March 4 as part of an extensive tour throughout February, March and April to promote the band’s brand new studio album.
Their tour will later take the to Settle’s Victoria Hall on April 20.
This may be their first visit to these venues but they are no strangers to the area - they’ve played The Brewery in Kendal several times as well as Kendal Calling and headlined the Ireby Festival.
For one member of the band in particular, Carlisle is a homecoming.
Lead singer James Studholme explained: “My family originally hails from just north of Carlisle - a place called Studholme where they settled after they’d finished being vikings. I believe there’s still a devil of a lot of Studholmes in the Carlisle phone book. So I’m coming home!”
Released on Major Tom Records the new album is titled ‘Wild By The Side Of The Road’. It sees the eight-piece band expand on their established country rock sound.
