By popular demand, Oysters 3 ate going to take to the road again in 2017, giving a different perspective on the band.
John Jones, Alan Prosser and Ian Telfer, the three founder members and creative heart of folk-rock legends Oysterband, will be putting on an evening of fresh acoustic performance and off-the-wall stories.
It will provide an insight into their history, sometimes turbulent, often funny, with great songs from every era of a unique career.
The band said: “The very first time we did this, we more or less improvised the show. We were astonished when it went down a storm - and we wondered why on earth we’d never thought of doing it before!”
Oysterband, from which Oysters 3 derives, make a modern, folk-based British music, acoustic at heart, sometimes intense, sometimes rocking. Since 1978 they’ve toured in 35 countries, playing at festivals, concerts, bars, rallies, jails.
They have won 5 BBC Folk Awards and made 13 studio albums .
They play the Brewery on Thursday, March 9.
