TEEN punk Daisy Dares You will shun the silence of Morecambe Library when she makes a special appearance at the venue on March 19.
The 16-year-old singer has teamed up with Get It Loud In Libraries to become the first artist to take on a six-date library tour across the country.
Hotly-tipped for 2010, the artist has just released her first single Number One Enemy and is currently putting the finishing touches to her debut album, due for release this Spring.
Get It Loud in Libraries was conceived by Stewart Parsons, of Lancashire Libraries, to allow more cultural access to libraries for young people who love music but don’t necessarily use libraries.
The project has proved hugely popular and has seen artists including Bat For Lashes, British Sea Power and Florence + The Machine perform one off shows amongst the traditionally quiet bookshelves.
* Daisy Dares You will play Morecambe Library on Friday, March 19. Tickets are available from the libraries or by visiting www.seetickets.com.
