SO much has been written about Lana Del Rey’s image, past and supposed millionaire dad that one sometimes forgets she makes music.
Since her beautiful debut single Video Games exploded out of nowhere last year, this 25-year-old New Yorker, who had a failed career under the guise of Lizzy Grant, has been the talk of the town.
There are some really nice songs on here, most-notably the title track and Blue Jeans.
And while there are too many fillers to stop this from being a classic album, it’s impossible not to fall in love with the lovely Lana and her velveteen voice.
Career kick start
