BRISTOLIAN four-piece Get The Blessing continue to stretch the boundaries of jazz music on their new long player.
They can do upbeat, on the title track, they can do slowburning epics, on Torque, and they can do laidback, on American Meccano, which plays like the soundtrack to an early morning stroll through an autumnal Manhattan.
While its roots are firmly fixed in jazz, this CD is not just for jazz music fans - as proven by the fact that I rather enjoyed this.
