ULVERSTON Choral Society commemorates the centenary of the beginning of the First World War with performances of Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem and Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man, both works reflecting the horrors of war and the hope for peace.
Conducted by Heather Paynes, the concert is on Saturday, May 10 (7.30pm) at Ulverston Parish Church, featuring soloists Victoria Barton (soprano); Jennifer Craig (mezzo-soprano) and Ron Eadington (bass), supported by strings, brass, percussion, piano and organ.
