THE 'wonderful' Westmorland Orchestra opens its 2014/15 concert season with Dvorak's In Nature's Realm overture, Mozart’s oboe concerto, and the darkly brooding tenth symphony by Shostakovich.
Conducted by Richard Howarth, the Saturday, December 6 (7.30pm) performance at Kendal Leisure Centre sees Pamela Redman take over as the orchestra's new leader and Manchester Camerata's principal oboe Rachael Clegg as soloist.
