CUMBRIAN-born singer and harmonica wizard, Jez Hellard and award-winning Canadian songwriter, Scott Cook will be playing an intimate concert at Nicholforest Village Hall on May 29.
This will be the third time they've toured the UK together and they keep coming back to the little hall just a stones-throw from the Scottish border.
Scott Cook, fresh from touring Australia, is a tirelessly travelling songwriter with a ‘deep down caramel voice’ that has audiences spellbound.
He has been described as "one of Canada's most imaginative story-tellers", and brings years of roads, a canny sense of humour and a wealth of humanity to his songwriting and stage-craft.
Jez Hellard is a singer of potent songs, stunning harmonica player and fine guitarist, mostly to be found touring with his band, The Djukella Orchestra.
Born in Carlisle General Hospital, Jez spent his formative years in Lazonby, in the glorious Eden Valley before being whisked away to the rather tame hills of Northamptonshire. He's been touring the world playing music for as long as he's been able.
Scott and Jez first met at the top of a stairwell on the island of Taiwan in 2001 and take every opportunity to tour together when geography allows.
