THE Bryce Street Strummers have announced details of their second ukulele gala gig in Burneside.
‘The Ukulele Event 2: This Time It’s Personal’ will be held at The Bryce Institute on June 13.
The show will feature the talents of nationally renowned player Phil Doleman.
Phil is one of the most recognisable players on the UK ukulele scene, and has been at the forefront of the ukulele revival for the last 10 years. He has played at every ukulele festival in the UK.
Phil's bluesy voice is as big as his ukulele is small, and his love of the early days of jazz shines through in his intricate picking and driving rhythms.
Compered by Ukulele Hank, the event will also feature a ukulele jukebox, an open mic session, an audience ‘strumalong’, and a performance from Zahra Lowzley.
