THE award-winning Wordsworth Singers perform hugely influential music from the 15th and 16th centuries at Kendal's Holy Trinity and St George’s Church, New Road, on Sunday, April 24 (3pm). Directed by Mark Hindley, the Light of Flanders concert begins with a motet composed by Guillaume Dufay for the consecration of Florence Cathedral in 1436, includes works by Josquin, Mouton and Ockeghem, and concludes with the stunning mass Ego sum qui sum by Philippe Rogier (1561-1596). The Wordsworth's programme is first aired on Saturday, April 23 (7.30pm) at St Michael’s Church, Dalston. Tickets at www.wordsworthsingers.org.uk.
